Studio Pacific are driven by creativity, sustainability, and innovation. The elements within the publication respond to the organic and pacific attributes of their designs. Though a simple and straight forward approach
was appropriate to reflect a contemporary feel, it was important not to compromise playful aspects. White space, colour and pattern have been used to show the elegant characteristics, yet display a youthful feel. Also the lively relationship between a serif, and sans serif typeface enhances this. It is important to Studio Pacific that they always consider the surrounding environments, in which inform their designs.
I have aimed to create an organic feel through the use of brown raw looking paper as a dust jacket, in response to their dynamic and ecological theme of the Pacific. The deep blue I have used on my cover and throughout, mirrors a vast and peaceful ocean scene. The pattern on my cover and through my chapter and section openers has been inspired by the Taipakupaku house. Upon my visit to this site, I was drawn to the organic, yet dynamic looking fence that surrounds the house and I feel represents Studio Pacific’s character.
A handmade, perfect bound publication of Studio Pacific Architecture's selected works.
